WINGS invests in indie games by teams in which women and marginalized genders developers have key positions. Our investment decisions are driven by a selection committee of outstanding women game developers. We focus on high potential games that will be successful on the market.
Hi, we are the WINGS team established 2018 by co-founders Petter and Audrey.
We hope you like our shared vision & we are always happy to chat about your project.
After a career at Quantic Dream and Ubisoft, Audrey founded The Game Bakers in 2010. She now works with our developers, advisory board and scouts to ensure the projects we fund have every possible advantage.
Petter's programming background led him to Landfall Games in 2015 as COO. He co-founded WINGS with Audrey, and he now oversees the strategic direction as well as business development.
After working several years in the audiovisual sector, Alice became administrative and financial manager for The Game Bakers in 2020. As project manager for WINGS, she is in charge of game pitches and signed games follow up.
Head of Communications
Corina comes from a background in entertainment marketing, and shifted focus to the games industry in 2016. At WINGS, her role is to guide communications and to amplify teams & their games.
After submitting your application, it will be reviewed by our board of industry professionals who form the Selection Committee. Composed only of women from international, diverse backgrounds and areas of expertise, the committee is collectively deeply connected to the market and our industry. The rolling committee members are rotated on a regular basis. The committee members review each application as a team before passing each submission through to the next stage. We are proud to have them as part of WINGS.
Although dedicated to investing in games, the WINGS team recognised the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and the cancellation of GDC on indie dev budgets. We realised we had to help quickly, and put together a coalition of game publishers and companies to assist indie game developers who had lost their travel costs or were stranded in San Francisco. Over $291,000 was raised and over 177 developers from all over the world were reimbursed. The excess fund has been dedicated to create ELEVATE 2020, a global online incubator for indie game developers that will launch September 2020.
Our mission is simple: we find talented, diverse teams and fund their high potential games. The success of diverse teams will lead to more unique ideas coming to life, new voices heard, new games catering to a wider variety of tastes. We passionately believe that better representation leads to better creativity.
